Description
The J-15 EC is handcrafted from all solid tonewoods - Sitka spruce top, walnut back & sides & a maple neck. Built by master craftsmen using the same methods as all Gibson acoustic models, this super cool cutaway dreadnought has a hand-fitted dovetail neck-to-body joint secured with hide glue. Fitted with an LR Baggs Element pickup system so it's stage-ready. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action.
Cosmetic Condition: Various little nicks, dents & dings along with surface scratches, but really nice shape overall.
Neck: Maple neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Grover mini tuners with chrome hardware. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought size body with cutaway. Solid spruce top in sunburst finish. Tortoise pickguard & abalone rosette. Rosewood bridge with mother of pearl dot inlays & compensated saddle. Solid walnut back & sides. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 5.7 oz.
Electronics: LR Baggs active pickup with soundhole-mounted volume & tone controls.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
