It pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of innovation and brings authenticity back to life. Originally introduced in 1955, the Les Paul Special has been embraced by musicians for over 60 years. It is based on the Les Paul Junior with a slab mahogany body, fat 50s-style mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, wraparound bridge, an additional rhythm P-90 pickup, binding on the neck and additional controls for the rhythm pickup and the 3-way toggle switch. Finished in ultra cool TV Yellow & comes delivered to your door with a pro set up from Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition - exceptionally clean & like new.
Neck: Vintage 50s profile mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. 12" radius rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. There's some really gorgeous figuring in the rosewood by the way. 22 medium jumbo frets in perfect shape. Gibson Deluxe tuners in perfect working condition. 1.69" nut width; 24.75" scale length.
Body: Solid mahogany body with wrap-around bridge & nickel hardware. 5-ply black pickguard & single-ply black jackplate. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 1.1 - great weight & very resonant!
Electronics: P-90 single coils with black "soap bar" covers. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with original accessories.
