The Gibson SG Modern incorporates many contemporary updates that players have embraced & it's much more than a classic "solid guitar;" it's a hybrid between an SG & a Les Paul. Shaped & scarfed like a classic SG, the body is crafted with a AA maple top & mahogany back, characteristic of a Les Paul. This combination is renowned for its resonance & sustain. The genuine ebony, 24-fret compound radius fingerboard & asymmetrical, SlimTaper neck allow fast & silky access to the highest frets. A pair of calibrated Burstbucker Pro Alnico 5 humbuckers deliver firepower & the push-pull controls allow you to switch between the Gibson humbucker & single coil P-90 sounds, both of which have defined so many genres of music across multiple generations. Upscale appointments include genuine mother-of-pearl inlays, Grover Rotomatic tuners & clear Top Hat knobs. Professionally set up so it's ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Various surface scratches. The back of the neck was refinished into a satin finish & shows some weather checking.
Neck: Asymmetrical Slim Taper mahogany neck with white binding & black side-dots. Compound radius ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. 24 medium jumbo frets are clean with no wear. Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany body with AA figured maple top in Blueberry Fade finish. Stopbar tailpiece & Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge with chrome hardware. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 7.6 oz.
Electronics: Burstbucker Pro Alnico 5 humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with clear "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with accessories.
