Developed from original drawings discovered in the Gibson Archives, the Theodore Standard is based on a design from 1957 that was only previously available as a limited edition 2022 Gibson Custom model. Its features include a solid mahogany body, scimitar headstock with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners & double Florentine cutaways that provide unimpeded access to all 22 frets on the rosewood-capped, SlimTaper mahogany neck. The balanced construction is exceptionally comfortable & the powerful '57 Classic & '57 Classic Plus humbuckers produce effortless sustain with a rich diversity of tones. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean & still like new with only some mild surface scratches. The plastic wrap is still over the pickguard!
Neck: SlimTaper mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. 12" radius rosewood fingerboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays. 22 Medium Jumbo frets are clean with no wear. Scimitar headstock shape with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners. 1.7" nut width; 24.75" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Solid mahogany body finished in Antique Natural with double Florentine cutaways. Aluminum Stopbar tailpiece with ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge. 5-ply black pickguard & nickel hardware. Guitar weighs a delightful 6 lbs 10.8 oz & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: Gibson 57 Classic (neck) & 57 Classic Plus (bridge) humbuckers with 3-way toggle switch. Master volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. Hand-wired with Orange Drop capacitors. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with accessories.
