This is the Gretsch Electromatic CVT Bass Double-Cut with Laurel Fretboard in Vintage White. It's a sharp-looking bass that's well-suited for anyone from beginners moving up to a solid gigging instrument, to experienced players wanting something with classic Gretsch character and a unique feel. The design borrows from vintage Gretsch basses, but the CVT model has its own modern edge with that sleek double-cutaway body and contoured top.
The solid mahogany body gives you punchy, focused low end, and the 32-inch medium scale hits a nice sweet spot for comfort and playability-easy to get around on, with just the right amount of tension. The real stars here are the Low Down Alnico pickups, with a humbucker at the neck and a single-coil at the bridge. That combination gives you everything from deep, round lows to crisp, articulate mids and highs. Each pickup gets its own volume control, plus a master tone, so you've got plenty of options for dialing in your sound whether you're in the studio or on stage.
The Performance "C" neck profile feels fast and comfortable, and the laurel fingerboard with medium jumbo frets makes moving up and down the neck smooth and effortless. Hardware is solid all around, from the bone nut to the direct-mount 4-saddle bridge and die-cast tuners. We've had great luck with these as go-to basses for players who want reliability and that signature Gretsch look without breaking the bank.
