Description
A cool player modified with a floating neck pickup & jack mounted to the underside of the pickguard. The work is a bit amateurish, but it works. Sweet tone & smooth feel thanks to a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music.
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape overall with various minor nicks & dings; surface scratches & general mild play wear.
Neck: Slender profile maple neck with multi-layer binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl split humpblock inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Bound headstock with diecast tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single-cutaway, fully hollow body in sunburst finish. Solid spruce top with bound "cat eye" F-holes. Gretsch "harp" tailpiece with art deco compensated bridge & gold hardware. Tortoise pickguard with 5-ply binding. Laminated flame maple back & sides with multi-layer binding. An after-market post was glued inside the body, although it really doesn't appear to be necessary. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 9.2 oz.
Electronics: Unoriginal floating neck pickup with 1/4" jack mounted under the pickguard. There are no volume or tone controls. There's a small hole in the pickguard which is currently covered by a guitar pick that was glued to the top.
Case: Original Gretsch hardshell case included.
