Description
This is a fabulous Pre-Fender Gretsch with excellent tone and playability. One of the most striking features is the rare Ebony Burst finish, which looks fantastic over the maple body, especially when the gold hardware pulls out the natural light gold in the wood's waves of sweeping grains. The Dynasonic pickups sound marvelous in every position & provide the perfect amount of slightly rounded pop, power & body. Between the simple & intuitive controls, vibrato tailpiece & slim & easy neck, there is no lack of control over this gorgeous hollow body.
Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition for its age with various surface scratches.
Neck: Two-piece maple neck with white binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl humpblock inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with flame maple veneer & horseshoe inlay. Gold diecast tuners with "G" Arrow logo. 1 5/8" nut width with brass nut; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Double-bound, hollow maple body with bound F-holes. Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with Space Control bridge. Gold plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 14.9 oz.
Electronics: DynaSonic single coils with 3-way toggle switch. Master volume & tone controls. Individual pickup volume controls all with "G" Arrow knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA & Gretsch paperwork.
