A discontinued model that has gained in popularity over the last few years. This is one of the more simpler versions of the Malcolm model, featuring a single FilterTron bridge humbucker with master volume & tone controls. The flame maple top is absolutely stunning & with a pro set up from the experts here at Cream City Music, you can be sure this gorgeous guitar is ready for action straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused, and in pretty good shape for being nearly 20 years old. Various nicks, chips, dents & dings, along with surface scratches. There's an extra screw hole in the bass-side horn from a previous strap button. Overall the guitar looks great & has a really cool vibe to it.
Neck: Mahogany neck with white binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl "thumbnail" inlays. Frets are in great shape with practically no wear.
Bound headstock with Malcom's signature on the truss rod cover. Unoriginal Planet Waves Auto-Trim locking tuners, however, the original Gretsch chrome tuners with "G" Arrow logo are included. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-cutaway, chambered mahogany body with flame maple top & 4-ply binding. Tone Pros wrap-around bridge with adjustable saddles, however, the original bridge is included with the guitar. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 3.4 oz.
Electronics: TV Jones FilterTron bridge humbucker with silver bezel, however, the original factory FilterTron is also included. Master volume & tone controls with "G" Arrow knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
