Description
Condition: This is a beautiful sounding jumbo acoustic. There are two un-repaired cracks on either side of the fingerboard that extend through the sound hole. These were likely caused by tension over time. They are showing no movement but should be repaired. There are two other un-repaired cracks on the top. One between the bridge and fingerboard and one beneath the bridge that goes to the bottom. There is another partially repaired crack next to this one that appears to have been glued but not cleated. There is a small crack on the treble side bout that is showing no movement but should be fixed eventually. The pickguard has shrunk but is still in good shape. The bridge saddle and nut are unoriginal. There is some bridge pull when the guitar is tuned up to pitch but the guitar is still playable. The bridge pull does however result in somewhat higher action. The neck has a bit of a warp mostly on the bass side where the neck meets the body. Otherwise the neck is mostly straight and the truss rods function fine. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. Some of the frets in the middle of the neck appear to have been pushed in too hard as there are small chips in the fingerboard surrounding them. This guitar will require some work but has tons of potential and already sound great. Cosmetically there are scratches, nicks, dings, dents and a few large chips throughout the instrument. There are some slightly hazy areas in the finish but nothing major.
