Description
A one-year-only model that's become a cult favorite among modern V-shape fans and Ibanez Collectors alike, the Ibanez VBT700 V-Blade from 2007 is a stand out with it's neck-through construction, and hardtail setup. Not exactly unique in the guitar world, but unique for Ibanez, and, if you're an Ibanez fan, then you know what these mid to late-2000's Indo-made axes are all about. The sheer value from the guitars of this time period alone make this a hard to beat value. Throw in the time tested Dimarzio D'Activators that Ibanez was known for throwing in a lot of their guitars, the super stable and easy to work with Gibralter bridge, neck through construction, and a super clean black with cream white binding aesthetic, PLUS upgraded tuners and flush-mount Dunlop straplock mounts, it's an absolutely fantastic guitar.
We've got some shredders at the shop who hate seeing this one go, but it deserves to be played, not be a wall-hanger. Come and get it.
Cosmetic Condition:
Good overall. Moderate wear on the back of the wing tips(chip out on the back of the left wing), surface scratches on the back, and light marks on the front.
Neck:
5-piece maple/walnut neck-through construction with rosewood fretboard and sharktooth inlays. Wizard II profile, 25.5" scale length, 1.69" nut width, 24 jumbo frets with minimal playwear. Non-original Planet Waves locking tuners installed. Neck is straight, truss rod functions properly.
Body:
Mahogany body with a black gloss finish and V-blade contours. Stock Gibraltar Custom fixed bridge and non-original Dunlop flush-mount strap locks installed.
Electronics:
Stock DiMarzio D'Activator humbuckers in HH configuration with 3-way switch, master volume, and tone. Electronics fully functional.
