Description
The 44-02 has an active punch that will drive your sound clearly through any mix, with best in class tonality for a versatile and refined fit for any playing situation. The LH3 pickups (wound in Lakland's shop in Chicago) and onboard preamp are the same components you'll find in their USA Series 44-94, powered by a single 9-volt battery that can be changed by removing a simple snap-on battery cover (no screws to lose!). Internal dip switches let you select the midrange boost/cut frequency. Neck profile is the Lakland 1.6" taper for fast and smooth playing and comfort. Pro set up included & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - very clean with only some mild surface scratches and there is one small nick out of the treble side of the 21st fret. It does not affect the playability at all. It has various little nicks, dings, scratches, etc., associated with typical playwear.
Neck: Flat-sawn maple neck with Indian Laurel fingerboard & cream dot inlays. Frets are in great shape. Hipshot Ultralite tuners work perfectly. 1 5/8" nut width; 34" scale length. The neck is straight, and the truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid ash body with quilted maple top in amber finish. Lakland Dual Access bridge (through body or through bridge) with four adjustable "barrel" saddles. This bass weighs 8 lbs. 13.2 oz.
Electronics: Bartolini pickups with Cut and Boost: Bass, Midrange, Treble; Panning-style Pickup Blend Control; Master Volume (pull for tone control bypass); 3-Way Bridge Pickup Coil Tap Toggle. All electronics are in good working condition.
