Made for only a brief moment from 2007-09, this gorgeous Martin slope shoulder is based on the 1929 Ditson 111, featuring a 12-fret neck with slotted headstock & Brazilian rosewood binding. Offering a big, boomy voice with a rich, woody tone. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape overall with various mild surface scratches along with tiny dents & dings, but quite clean for the most part.
Neck: Wide profile, V-shaped mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Slotted headstock with Brazilian rosewood veneer. Classical-style tuners with ivoroid buttons. Oliver Ditson Co. Boston New York is pressed into the back of the headstock. 1 7/8" nut width; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod functions fine.
Body: Slope shoulder dreadnought in natural high-gloss finish with Brazilian rosewood top & back binding. Solid Adirondak spruce top with tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Ebony "pyramid" bridge & end pins. Solid mahogany back & sides. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 6.9 oz.
Electronics: After-market K&K pickup added with soundhole-mounted volume control.
