The Martin GPC-16E bridges the gap between the dreadnought and the 000, boasting a bold voice and a player-centric design. For any guitarist who loves the projection and volume of a larger-bodied acoustic but desires the playability of a 000, the GPC-16E offers the best of both worlds.
The GPC-16E starts with a spruce top and an East Indian rosewood body, giving it a rich, full-bodied sound with deep lows, well-balanced mids, and exceptional clarity. Its Grand Performance body features the depth of a 000 and a slightly narrower waist than a dreadnought, making it more comfortable for the modern performer. Taking its design a step further is the high-performance neck taper, which is slightly narrower at the 12th fret than Martin's Standard Taper, resulting in a faster-playing neck.
For superior tone, the Martin GPC-16E has a scalloped forward-shifted X-bracing. This enhances its volume and bass response for a deeper, richer sound with better projection. It's also equipped with Martin E1 electronics, making it a versatile tool for any setting, whether you're playing solo shows or performing with larger bands and ensembles.
