Classic styling with a tight-waisted jumbo body shape, the J-40 has solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, Sitka spruce top, polished gloss finish and a hand-fit dovetail neck joint. It produces a tone that is beautifully balanced with powerful response and volume, enhancing the art of the singer-songwriter. Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays great!
Cosmetic Condition: Various nicks, dents & dings; scratches & some finish blemishes on either side of the headstock from hanger-burn. There's a tiny bit of binding separation in the body waist, but overall the guitar has a great vibe to it with a cool look.
Neck: Rounded profile mahogany neck with white binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone hexagon inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with rosewood overlay & CF Martin abalone logo. Gold Martin tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Solid spruce top with 8-ply binding. Ebony bridge with compensated saddle. Cream end pins with abalone dot inlays. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring abalone rosette. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with 6-ply binding & herringbone center strip. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 14.9 oz.
