Extremely rare, Roy Rogers Commemorative Edition in exceptionally clean condition. This gorgeous OM-45 was produced for only one year in 2006 & is number 26 of only 84 made with Indian rosewood. This magnificent guitar was just recently acquired from a private collection of nearly 40 rare & vintage Martin guitars, including tenors as well as mandolins, ukes & banjos. Cosmetic Condition: Marvelous condition - very clean & still like new with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with some light flame figuring. Ivoroid binding with black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone snowflake inlays. Roy Rogers signature inlay in the 20th fret. Frets are clean with practically no wear. Bound headstock with abalone floral inlay. Gold Waverly Butterbean tuners & diamond volute. 1 3/4" nut width; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Double-bound OM style body. Solid Adirondak spruce top with abalone purfling. Tortoise pickguard with abalone floral inlay & abalone rosette. Ebony belly bridge with abalone snowflake inlays. Fosilized end pins with abalone dot inlays. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with abalone purfling & Herringbone center strip. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 4.5 oz.
