The Martin GPC Special Performing Artist Grand Performance Ovangkol features a blend of legendary Martin tone with solid-wood construction and elegant appointments. This gorgeous guitar was designed for the player searching for a fine acoustic/electric that is attractive yet versatile enough to cover a variety of musical styles and performance techniques. The body shape is a little deeper than your typical 000 or OM body shape. The extra depth gives you added volume, while producing a balanced tone across the entire musical spectrum. The end result is a tone that is deeper, fuller and louder than the traditional 000 shape.
Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition - exceptionally clean with only some mild pick scratches on the guard.
Neck: Mahogany neck with white side-dots. Richlite fingerboard with large & small cream dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Stained basswood headstock overlay. Martin diecast tuners in perfect working condition. 1.75" width bone nut; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Grand Performance style body with cutaway. Tortoise top & back binding. Solid Ovangkol top, back & sides in sunburst finish. Gloss top with satin back & sides. Forward shifted 5/16" scalloped X-bracing pattern. Richlite bridge with compensated saddle. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 0.9 oz.
Electronics: Fishman Matrix VT Enhanced Electronics. Fishman unique under-the-saddle pickup with Fishman’s Enhance bridge plate transducer. Soundhole mounted preamp with 2-band EQ. Volume, Tone and Enhance Blend controls are mounted inside the soundhole.
