What makes this guitar special? The combination of Candy Red and black pearloid pickguard gives this guitar a very defined and slick look with a bit of character. The cut of rosewood used is outstanding in terms of figuring and holds up to the standard of “select” pieces, plus complements the Candy Red finish beautifully. Of course it’s a bit biased, but the gunstock oil and wax blend finish on some Music Man models is literally the best in the business. It has almost no friction whatsoever and moves with incredible ease, especially with the comfortable and familiar neck profile. The pickups provide an expansive range of tones that all sound fantastic and have very intuitive controls to boot. In addition, our techs have given this Silhouette a great setup so it plays like butter from the nut to the cutaway. Don’t pass up this super clean and great playing guitar.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall, if not mint. There are only a few very light surface scratches throughout and a small ding or two, but otherwise is incredibly clean. The frets show almost no wear whatsoever and still have a full lifetime left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Contoured double cutaway offset alder body in Candy Red finish. Chrome-plated hardened steel strings-through-body vintage-style tremolo bridge with solid stainless steel saddles. 3-ply black pearloid pickguard. Black plastic top hat knobs and switch tip.
Neck: Select maple neck with gunstock oil and wax blend finish and 10” radius rosewood fingerboard with small white dot inlays. Chrome Schaller M6-IND locking tuning machines. 1 5/8” nut.
Electronics: DiMarzio virtual PAF humbuckers in the neck and bridge, DiMarzio custom single-coil in the middle. 5-way pickup selector. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control.

Playability/Sound: The profile and finish on the neck make it literally one of the most easy playing and comfortable necks on the market. The gunstock oil and wax blend is almost entirely frictionless and feels perfect from the nut to the cutaway. The HSH pickup configuration provides a very wide spectrum of tones, some more classic sounding, some more modern, but all fantastic.
