What’s special about this guitar: This guitar is the first of National’s spider bridge wood body guitars. It features sloped shoulders, solid walnut sides and is a round neck model with a soft “V” shaped neck. This guitar sounds gorgeous, is extremely comfortable to play and has tons of volume and resonance! This guitar came to us as part of a larger collection and all of the instruments were very well-cared for.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent shape! There may be a couple tiny surface scratches throughout the entire guitar. Fingerboard and frets have hardly any play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is nice and straight with very comfortable action and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound sloped shoulder body with maple top in sunburst finish, solid walnut sides and a laminate walnut back. Metal tailpiece and cover plate. Spider bridge with maple saddle and a 10.5” hand spun resonator.
Neck: Soft “V” shaped Walnut neck with a bound Ebony fingerboard. Ivoroid dot inlays and a 1.825” nut. Slotted peg head with black overlay with art deco engravings and National logo. National tuners with ivoroid buttons, 25” scale length.
Weight: 7lbs, 0.5oz.
Case: Includes the original hardshell case. The original owner had a personalized plaque made for the side of the case.
