Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a simple yet solid Sigma dreadnought that plays as good as it sounds. It has a surprising volume ceiling, and its tone starts with a nicely compressed low end that extends into a vibrant mid-range and crisp top end rich with chime. Its appointments are simple, yet add nice visual touches with elements like cream purfling to match its three-ring rosette and an aged top that plays the centerpiece of its warm color palette. The neck is a nice rounded boat shape that has a bit more depth than the average acoustic, but is still very comfortable and easy to play. In addition, it’s still in great shape and will undoubtedly serve as a solid dreadnought in any roster.
Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does possess various dings, dents, nicks, scratches, and other forms of normal wear, but is still in great shape for a used instrument. The frets show only light to mild wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions as it should. The foam neck rest in the case is starting to deteriorate a bit.
Body: Double bound dreadnought body with mahogany back and sides and a spruce top in Natural finish. Three-ring rosette. Black teardrop pickguard. Ebony bridge with uncompensated saddle and white bridge pins with black dots.
Neck: Boat-shaped mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Chrome closed-back tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” nut width.
Weight: 4 lbs 11.5 oz
Playability/Sound: The boat-shaped neck has a unique feel but still plays great regardless, falling somewhere near a more rounded version of a soft V. The tone starts with a pleasantly compressed low end, a rich and vibrant mid-range, especially toward the upper mids, and finishes with a tight and crisp top end with excellent articulation.
Case: Includes hardshell case.
