Description

What makes this guitar special: For the money, there are few guitars on the market that play, sound, and look as good as the JP100D, and this one is no exception. The LiquiFire and Crunch Labs pickups are aptly named, as they both have hot outputs. The neck is huge and chunky while the bridge has a ton of bite that translates just as well for soloing, no surprise. The body is beautifully contoured with both a belly cut and arm contour that make playing while sitting feel more comfortable than almost any other. The body’s aesthetics are similarly great, as the combination of deep mahogany and excellently-figured Koa under an amber burst finish give it some serious character. The slim D shape neck plays effortlessly from the nut to the cutaway and caps what is truly complete package, all for a fraction of the cost of most of Petrucci’s other signature models.

Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It does possess a few minor scuffs, dings, dents, and light scratches, but largely remains very clean for a new guitar. It even still has the original plastic on the back plates. The frets show almost no wear whatsoever and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod works perfectly.

Body: Contoured mahogany body with a Koa top. Modern tremolo bridge. Black bullet-style control knobs.

Neck: Slim D shape maple neck and rosewood fingerboard with John Petrucci Shield Badge in the 1st fret and shield fret markers. Chrome locking tuning machines with pearloid buttons. 1 5/8” nut width. 25.5” scale.

Electronics: DiMarzio LiquiFire and Crunch Lab pickups in the neck and bridge. 1 x volume, 1 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.

Weight: 7 lbs 7.4 oz

Playability/Sound: Akin to most Petrucci models, the neck plays absolutely effortlessly. The LiquiFire and Crunch Labs pickups are some of the most aptly-named on the market, as the both are nice and hot with extra chunk in the neck and a massive amount of bite in the bridge.

Case: Includes original gigbag and tremolo arm.
