What’s special about this bass: This is a great sounding bass with a very striking quilt maple finish. This model features a particularly large body which produces a very big and deep sound. This instrument also has a nice pickup system that gives it a great amplified sound!
Condition: Very good shape overall! There are some very light surface scratches throughout the entire bass. It is very clean overall! There is some bridge pull resulting in some warping of the top. There are no loose or broken braces as a result. The action is somewhat high due to this (about 4 3/2nds on the G string and about 3/32nds on the E string) though the saddle could come down to compensate for this. The bass is still in great playing shape regardless. Fingerboard and frets have very light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is nice and straight and the truss rod functions perfectly.
Body: Double-bound single cutaway body with quilt maple top, back and sides in translucent orange finish. Top-load rosewood bridge with an ivoroid saddle, inlaid abalone rosette. 16 ¾” lower bout width.
Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. White dot fret positions markers and a 1 5/8” nut. Sealed Takamine tuners, 34” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: TK-40B preamp and pickup system with controls for bass, mids, treble, bass boost, EQ bypass, mid shift, battery check and gain.
