What’s special about this guitar: This is a Taylor 812CE 12-fret acoustic and it’s one of the better sounding Taylor we’ve had here in the shop! One the 12-fret version of the 812CE the bridge is located closer to the center of the lower bout and the bracing profile is modified to emphasize a bolder attack. With these features and the body extending to the 12th fret, this guitar as a huge sound that is noticeably warmer than most Taylors. The attack is also very crisp with plenty of resonance and volume! Other features include a slotted peg-head, beautiful abalone rosette around the sound hole and a combination of Sitka Spruce and Indian Rosewood for the body.
Condition: This guitar is in excellent, near mint condition with only a few tiny surface scratches throughout the entire instrument! This guitar really is exceptionally clean. The fingerboard and frets are in excellent condition with hardly any play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is nice and straight and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound Grand Concert sized body with Sitka Spruce to and Indian Rosewood back and sides in natural finish. Ebony bridge with a Micarta saddle. Tortoise pickguard and an abalone rosette around the sound hole.
Neck: Tropical mahogany neck with a bound Ebony fingerboard. Fancy pearloid inlays and a 1 ¾” Tusq nut. Slotted peg head with open-gear tuners with ivoroid buttons. 24 7/8” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Active Taylor Expression System with controls for volume, treble and bass.
Weight: 4lbs, 2.2oz.
Case: Includes the original hardshell case.
