This guitar has an incredible voice that is rooted in bellowing but not overpowering lows, a sweet mid-range, and clean highs that are full of body and chime. This guitar has the new super thin 3.5 gloss finish which provides excellent resonance, projection, as well as tonal integrity. Aesthetically, this guitar is appointed somewhat modestly but the understatement is the key to its beauty. Bound headstock to lower bout in maple, it also features an abalone single ring rosette, ebony headstock overlay, and a gorgeous rosewood pickguard. If that’s not enough, also consider it comes with the Expression System 2 that boasts simple, non-invasive controls and an incredibly transparent response upon amplification. To top it all off, this guitar is incredibly clean, yet since its used, carries a used price tag, so don’t miss your chance to pick up this absolute gem at a great price.
Condition: Overall, this Taylor 814ce is very clean and in excellent condition. It does have a few light surface scratches throughout the body from light play wear, but is still super clean. There is very little fret wear and the fretboard is in excellent shape as well. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions perfectly as it should.
Body: Grand Auditorium cutaway body with a solid Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, and bound in maple. Super thin 3.5 gloss finish. Ebony bridge and bridge pins, macarta saddle. Rosewood pickguard and abalone single ring rosette.
Neck: Tropical mahogany neck with ebony fretboard bound in maple. Element inlays. White Tusq nut, 1-3/4” width. Taylor nickel tuning machines. Ebony headstock overlay.

Playability/Sound: Absolutely fantastic. This guitar has incredible projection starting in breathy yet full lows, slightly subdued and sweet mid-range, and rich highs full of chime. As always, the Taylor neck profile is extremely comfortable and easy to play regardless of style. The ES-2 electronics sound beautifully transparent.
