Description

What makes this guitar special? This guitar is a total sleeper across the board. What really makes it special is its sound. For a smaller-bodied guitar, it produces a very open tone with an exceptionally rich midrange and crisp and clean top end, along with a surprisingly high volume ceiling. The appearance is subtle, yet stylish, with a firestripe pickguard, Mother of Pearl and abalone headstock inlays, and single-ring rosette to complement its simple binding and aged-looking top. The neck is easy to move around, the body is nice and light, and the figuring of its tone woods round out what is truly a fantastic guitar for the price.

Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. Outside of a few small dings and dents and light surface scratches here and there, this guitar is in fantastic shape. The bottom edge of the pickguard has warped slightly and has pulled away from the body a bit. The frets show only light wear and still have a lot of playing time left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.

Body: Double bound parlor body with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Firestripe pickguard. Stained wood bridge and compensated bridge. White bridge pins. Single-ring rosette.

Neck: Medium depth C shape mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays. Vintage-style 3x3 open-gear tuning machines with white buttons. 1 11/16” nut. 25.5” scale.

Weight: 3 lbs 12.5 oz

Playability/Sound: The C shape neck is easy, comfortable, and familiar. Despite its smaller body, the response of this guitar is wonderfully open and has a surprising volume ceiling to boot. The low end is subtle and compressed, the midrange is rich and up front, and the high end has a clean and crisp response.

Case: Includes gig bag.
