A gorgeous Washburn M-5S Jethro Burns F-Style featuring a solid spruce top with flame maple back & sides. A great player with a loud, powerful voice that projects exceptionally well. Set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape overall with some mild play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & some natural ageing. Overall the mandolin looks really nice & has a beautiful patina.
Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with intricate abalone inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Bound headstock with rosewood overlay & mother of pearl inlay. Open-gear strip tuners with pearloid buttons. 1 1/8" nut width; 14" scale length.
Body: F-style body with bass-side scroll & two points on the treble-side. Solid spruce top with dual F-holes. Nickel tailpiece with Jethro Burns engraving. Compensated ebony bridge with floating base. Pickguard is missing. Flame maple back & sides with arched back. There are no electronics & the mandolin weighs 2 lbs 6.1 oz.
