What’s special about this guitar: This is a great playing, beautiful sounding Yamaha SBG 2100. This guitar has some great features including neck-though-body construction, a phenomenal sounding pair of humbuckers, contoured body and a super comfy slender neck. The pickups have an excellent presence to them. They offer plenty of output and sustain but also have a lot of clarity and somewhat of a single-coil voicing. The slender neck makes this guitar instantly comfortable.
Condition: Very good overall shape! There are some surface scratches and small nicks and dings throughout the guitar. There is some heavy buckle rash on the back but the guitar is in good shape for its age! The fingerboard and frets are in great shape with only light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is very comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard and the truss rod functions perfectly. One of the pickup rings cracked and was re-glued and the bridge pickup has a small amount of black paint along the side. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid contoured double-cutaway mahogany body with neck-through-body construction and a bound maple top in translucent red finish. Engraved STOP tailpiece and TOM bridge. Skirted control knobs with silver inserts and a 2-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Three-piece mahogany/maple neck with neck-through-body construction. Bound Ebony fingerboard with split and pointed pearloid inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Bound headstock with sealed Yamaha tuners, 24 ¾” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Yamaha SG-3000 humbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 4.08K Ohms.
Bridge: 4.01K Ohms.
