Description
This is a great playing, beautiful sounding Yamaha SG-500. This guitar has some great features including a phenomenal sounding pair of humbuckers, contoured body and a super comfy slender neck. The pickups have an excellent presence to them. They offer plenty of output and sustain but also have a lot of clarity and somewhat of a single-coil voicing. The slender neck makes this guitar instantly comfortable.
Condition: Very good overall shape for its age, there are nicks and dings and buckle rash but no major damage or repairs.
Body: Solid contoured double-cutaway mahogany body and a bound maple top in translucent red finish. STOP tailpiece and TOM bridge. Speed knobs and a 2-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard with split and pointed pearloid inlays and a 1 11/16" nut. Bound headstock with sealed Yamaha tuners, 24 ¾" scale length.
Electronics: EMG humbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.
