Description: Vintage 1940s Rickenbacker Very Rare Model B Electro 8-String Lap Steel Electric Guitar
Condition: Very good overall. Various surface scratches, throughout the instrument. Lower treble side of fingerboard appears to have been partially sanded down (see photos). Bass side tuners are unoriginal, though treble side are original. All electronics are original and in perfect working condition. Fingerboard and frets have minor play wear. Neck has a very slight bow when strung up to pitch. It is hardly noticeable and does not affect playability or sound at all.
Body: Guitar shaped Bakelite body with white decorative plates. String-through-body design with Bakelite saddle, horse shoe pickup and dual cream control knobs.
Neck: Square Bakelite neck with white frets and dot inlays and a 2 ¼” nut. Open-gear nickel tuners with pearloid buttons on the bass side, covered nickel tuners with nickel buttons on the treble side. Headstock features a removable metal cover. 22.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original horse shoe pickup with master volume and tone controls.
