Description

What’s special about this lap steel: Ultra cool vintage lap steel with a beautiful sound. This model in particular is becoming more and more difficult to find & features dual tone controls. The middle control functions as more of a presence control and really allows the player to fine tune their sound. The finish on this instrument has a well-worn look which gives it a great vintage vibe!

Condition: There are plenty of scratches, nicks, dings, dents, chips and weather checking throughout the instrument. There are two larger gouges on the back though they are only cosmetic (see photos). The tuners, pickup, electronics and control knobs are unoriginal but all work perfectly! The bridge/pickup cover is missing, however, the headstock cover is intact with just a small piece broken off.

Body: Mahogany body with a graduated shoulder on the treble side and graduated bottom corners. Bound mahogany top in a white finish which has developed a deep and beautiful patina! One-piece metal tailpiece/bridge, speed control knobs and a black back cover plate.

Neck: Square mahogany neck tapered towards the nut. Gold fingerboard with white printed frets and white dot “inlays” with a plexi cover over the fingerboard. 2 5/8” metal nut. Vintage-style nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons, 22.5” scale length.

Pickups/Electronics: Single-coil pickup with master volume control and dual tone controls.

Pickup: 6.89K Ohms.

Weight: 5lbs, 11.0oz.

Case: Includes the original hardshell case. The top and front panel on the case are loose and partially holding together with tape. The bottom was reglued and some of the brown covering has torn off in areas. Otherwise the case functions fine.
