Cosmetic Condition: A real road warrior - lots of nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & finish wear. No cracks or breaks. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Soft V-shaped, one-piece mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Neck is very comfortable & not too chunky. Beautiful, dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. There's some light pitting in the fingerboard, but nothing severe. Original frets show some wear, but still have plenty of life in them. The original strip tuners were replaced with vintage nickel Grovers which are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" original nut; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single-cut, one-piece, solid mahogany body in original sunburst finish. Original nickel, wrap-around tailpiece & posts. The body was routed for the neck humbucker & toggle switch. The pickguard is not original. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 11.5 oz.
Pickups: Original P-90 bridge pickup. The bobbin was cracked, so we replaced it, but the magnet & cover are original. The original bobbin is included with the guitar. 1960's Gibson Pat No humbucker in the neck position. Bridge - 7.97K ohms; Neck - 7.43K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with later period, black speed knobs. Unoriginal pots & capacitor. The volume pot is a push/pull to coil split the humbucker. After-market, 3-way mini toggle switch. Original jackplate. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Later period Gibson USA hardshell case included. The combination latch is missing, but all other latches are present.
