What makes this guitar special: A truly magnificent example of the single-cut Les Paul TV Model in limed mahogany finish. This gorgeous Junior was just recently acquired from a local player who owned it for quite a number of years & absolutely cherished it. A superb player with incredible tone & feel - the guitar has a wonderful natural acoustic resonance to it, but once it's plugged in, look out! The single P-90 delivers warm, rich tones with sustain that lasts forever. This one has just the right amount of wear & the TV Yellow finish is perfect! Cosmetic Condition: The right look, with good, honest play wear, just the way we like it - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There is a superficial, minuscule, hairline crack in the surface of the wood that runs through the bass-side tuners on the back of the headstock. It is very faint & barely noticeable. It is purely cosmetic & does not affect playability or sound quality. Overall the guitar has a great, true vintage look with an ultra cool vibe, gorgeous patina & the TV Yellow finish is fantastic!
Neck: Semi-chunky, one-piece mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets show some light wear & have plenty of life in them. At one point the guitar had different tuners on it as evidenced by the additional screw holes & "ghosting" imprint left behind by the individual tuners. The holes for the string stems were also widened a bit & are now fitted with larger grommets. However, period-correct Kluson Deluxe strip tuners are now back on the guitar & they look fabulous. Unoriginal nut with a width of 1 11/16"; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single-cut, one-piece solid mahogany body. Original wrap-around nickel tailpiece & black pickguard. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 11.2 oz.
Electronics: Original P-90 single coil with black "dog ear" cover - 7.80K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with original black "top hat" knobs & 3-ply black jackplate. Original pots & "bumble bee" cap. All solder points are original & all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original faux alligator chipboard case.
