What makes this guitar special: 100% original & super clean condition - practically a time capsule piece - looks like it was made yesterday! Classic, chunky '59 neck with a single P-90 for pure, hollow body tone. A truly gorgeous example that's been professionally set up & plays exceptionally well. The top of the body shows off some light flame figuring & the sunburst finish is still very strong & vibrant. A definite must-have for any serious collector or player.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition for its age with only a few mild "bruises" - minor nicks, chips & dings (mostly on the headstock); various surface scratches throughout & some pickwear. Overall the guitar looks fabulous & is very clean.
Neck: Chunky, one-piece mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Beautifully figured Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show just a tiny bit of wear & have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Double-bound, hollow maple body with Florentine cutaway & dual F-holes. Long, trapeze tailpiece with wrap-around bar bridge & nickel hardware. 5-ply black pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 11.3 oz.
Pickup: P-90 single coil with black "dog ear" cover - 7.62K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with gold "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original faux alligator skin chipboard case included. The case shows a bit of wear - scuffs & such - a bit of the trim has come un-stitched, but really for the most part the case is in great shape.
