Description
This charming small body acoustic was recently acquired from the original owner who purchased it as a young teenager in 1960. The guitar is 100% original & needs a new home.
Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good condition for the most part, however, there is a crack in the top, on the trebel side of the neck which extends into the soundhole. This was most likely caused from the pickguard shrinking a bit. There's also a very small crack in the back of the body, about 4 inches long, just below the neck. Neither crack has been repaired. The bridge is lifting up just a bit from the top, but is quite secure & very playable. Overall the guitar has a great look to it & was not abused. There are various minor nicks, chips & dings; mild surface scratches & light finish checking throughout. The sunburst finish is very vibrant & the guitar shows off a beautiful patina. It has been professionally set up by us with a fresh set of strings & delivers a bright, zesty tone.
Neck: Nicely rounded & very comfortable mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & plays well.
Body: Double bound body with solid spruce top & mahogany back & sides. Rosewood bridge with black end pins. Tortoise-style pickguard & 3-ply rosette.
Case: Original faux alligator chipboard case included.
