Description
Condition: Various light surface scratches and a few small nicks and dings throughout the instrument. Finish is in very good shape for its age! There is a finish crack on the back center seam. This is only in the finish and does not go through the wood. The bass control button has crumbled and a couple of the other buttons have some cracks but are holding together fine. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. Neck is very straight and the truss rod doesn’t have a huge range of motion on the neck but functions fine. The pickups show high ohm readings but still have some decent output. All electronics and parts are otherwise in good working condition.
Body: Double bound single cutaway body with maple top, back and sides in sunburst finish. There is some very nice and subtle flame figuring on the sides. Nickel trapeze tailpiece, rosewood bridge with adjustable nickel saddles, dual bound “F” holes and a floating pearloid pickguard.
Neck: Slender maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, white dot inlays, a zero fret and a 1 11/16” nut. Three-on-a-strip nickel Eko tuners with ivoroid buttons, 25” scale length.
Pickups/electronics: Single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge with master volume and tone controls and control buttons with pickup settings for 1+2, bass, treble and off.
Neck: 28.8K Ohms.
Bridge: 58.3K Ohms.
Weight: 4lbs, 12.2oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a gorgeous vintage guitar with a lot of natural resonance. It sounds great acoustic or plugged in. As stated, the pickups do have somewhat high ohm readings but still have a nice output and presence. This guitar is exceptionally comfortable to play!
Case: Includes unoriginal hardshell Ibanez case.
