Description
Condition: This is a great playing vintage guitar with a very classic look. This guitar actually consists of a Mustang neck with a Duo Sonic II body making it a one-of-a-kind piece. The body has been re-finished and shows some sanded areas around some of the edges. There are various light scratches and small nicks, dings, dents and a couple tiny chips throughout the instrument. Some soldering work has been done and at least one wire has been replaced. There is currently a ground wire going from the bridge to the underside of the control panel. This is unoriginal but does work. The neck has a very slight warp towards the middle but is overall very comfortable with good playability up and down the fingerboard. Truss rod functions fine. Some of the finish on the back of the neck has worn off giving it a nice, sleek feel. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition. Neck dates to 1965.
Body: Solid double-cutaway body in a white finish. Top-load hardtail bridge with three individual saddles, chrome control panel with black plastic control knobs and a 3-ply tortoise pickguard with dual switches.
Neck: Slender maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Closed-gear Fender tuners with ivoroid buttons, 24” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge with dual on/off/phase switches and master volume and tone controls.
Neck: 5.49K Ohms.
Bridge: 5.75K Ohms.
Weight: 6lbs, 15.0oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a great playing, classic sounding guitar. The pickups offer both warm and brightness and the phase switches are great for dialing in some versatile tones on the spot. The neck is exceptionally comfortable and suitable for virtually any playing style.
Case: Includes vintage Fender hardshell case.
