Description

What makes this bass special: An interesting fretless bass featuring a silky smooth, glossy fingerboard that is super comfortable to play. Some brief research on the brand led to the discovery of designer Paul Barth of Rickenbacker & Magnatone fame & his direct involvement with the development of Bartell instruments with Ted Peckels in Riverside, California. Many of their instruments were either branded Bartell or Hohner & made for only a very short period of time. This gorgeous semi-hollow body has been professionally inspected & set up, ready to play upon arrival.

Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape for its age, but does show signs of play wear - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some mild finish wear. Overall the bass has a great vintage vibe to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck: Slender profile, bolt-on neck with cream side-dots. Black stained fingerboard with white fret markers. No headstock logo. Schaller tuners are in perfect working. condition. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 34" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body: Double-cutaway, semi-hollow body with dual F-holes. Stop tailpiece with four adjustable "barrel" saddles. Original bridge cover. Bass weighs 8 lbs 7.6 oz.

Electronics: Dual single coils with 3-way toggle switch. Bridge - 7.48K ohms; Neck - 7.59K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls; all electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Newer, Ibanez hardshell case included.
