Description
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has been heavily modified & is what we call a player's grade guitar. Overall it has a great look to it & sounds amazing. There are some nicks & dings along with surface scratches, light weather checking & some finish wear. A crack in the headstock was professionally repaired & is barely noticeable under the finish. The headstock is stable & the neck plays great.
Neck: Rounded mahogany neck with beautiful dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. The guitar has been refretted with jumbo frets which are in great shape with no wear. Vintage Kluson Deluxe tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. The serial number of 47862 is still visible on the back of the headstock.
Body: Double-cutaway, solid mahogany body. The entire guitar has been refinished in yellow. Vintage, nickel compensated bridge. Unoriginal black pickguard with Melody Monster logo. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 3 oz.
Pickups: Unoriginal humbuckers with cream covers. The body was of course routed to fit the humbuckers. Bridge - 10.11K ohms; Neck - 10.01K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with vintage Gibson gold "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. Electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Vintage Gibson hardshell case included.
