Description
Cosmetic Condition: Great player's grade vintage guitar. The neck has had some repair work done to it - there is a headstock repair & there are several small dowels along the back of the neck. There are also a few visible surface cracks as well - a couple just below the headstock & one closer to the neck heel. Overall the neck is stable, however, and none of the repairs or cosmetic issues affect playability. The guitar has also been completely refinished in white with some really nice variegation throughout. It has been refretted with bigger frets, making it a much more playable guitar than with the typical small frets this model usually has. There are various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings along with surface scratches & light play wear. Aside from the refret & refin, all the other components are original. Here's a great opportunity to own a true vintage beauty at an affordable price.
Neck: Medium profile mahogany neck with dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Newer jumbo frets are in great shape with no wear. Original Kluson Deluxe tuners are in good working condition. The G tuner is slightly bent, but still functions properly. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works well.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with original 2-ply black pickguard. The guard is in good condition with no cracks. Compensated, nickel wrap-around bridge has been adjusted for low action. Guitar weighs 6 lbs.
Pickup: Original P-90 single coil - 10.09K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal tweed hardshell case included.
