Description
Condition: This guitar has a gorgeous tone and beautiful vintage look! Most noticeable is a large dent/crack on the lower treble side bout of the guitar caused by impact (see photos). This dent has not been repaired but it is staying together fine and not causing any other structural issues. An input jack was added directly to the left of that crack for the added Fishman pickup. There is an area directly to the rear of the pickguard that has been over-sprayed. The finish had worn through to the bare wood from normal play wear and the over-spray was added to prevent further wear. This is directly between the pickguard and bridge (see photos). There are scratches, nicks, dings, dents, chips and weather checking throughout the entire instrument. The wood on the underside and areas of the top of the sound hole has some small chips in it but this does not cause any issues with playability or sound. The ends of the saddle have broken off but this does not affect playability or height adjustment. There is a large chip on the back of the lower bass side bout. There are some heavy pick scratches on the top and some buckle rash on the back. The binding has developed a gorgeous patina giving this guitar an incredible vintage look! There are some scratches on the side of the headstock from a string winder striking the finish (see photos). The inside sound hole label has worn off. There is a very slight “gap” on the bass side of the neck heel. It shows no movement and only occurs near the binding so it is likely only caused by shrinkage of the wood and binding (see photos). Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with some heavier play wear in the lower registers. The neck is very straight and the truss rod functions fine. The high “E” string hits the pickup when played on the very last fret, otherwise the playability is smooth up and down the neck. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Double bound dreadnought body with solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides in natural finish. The back and sides have a beautiful translucent cherry finish. Rosewood bridge with height-adjustable ivoroid saddle. Three-point tortoise pickguard and multiple inlaid rings around the sound hole.
Body Dimensions: Lower bout: 16” wide x 4 ¾” deep. Upper bout: 11 5/8” wide x 4” deep.
Neck: Mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, spit pearloid trapezoid inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Kluson Deluxe single stripe nickel tuners with ivoroid buttons, 24.5” scale length.

Playability/Sound: This is a gorgeous sounding Country Western. The woods have matured very nicely giving the guitar an overall warm, “lived in” feel and sound. The body produces some excellent volume and resonance. The added Fishman pickup does a good job of recreating the natural sound of the guitar.
