What makes this guitar special: 100% original with cool nickel hardware & a super resonant, one-piece mahogany body. This is Epiphone's version of the Gibson Jr with that single P-90 kicking out awesome tone! The Brazilian rosewood fingerboard on this one shows off some gorgeous color variegation. Light-weight, but tons of fun to play, this guitar will be hard to put down. Professionally set up by us with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar is in great shape for being over 50 years old, but does show some signs of light wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & light finish wear - all the great hallmarks of a true vintage guitar! No cracks, breaks or repairs. 100% issue free & a dynamite player!
Neck: Slender profile, yet super comfortable, one-piece mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with some beautiful figuring & mother of pearl dot inlays. Original frets show some light wear & have plenty of life in them. "Batwing" headstock with original Kluson Deluxe strip tuners in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Asymmetric, one-piece solid mahogany body in classic cherry finish. The back is not contoured like the later-period models. Compensated, wrap-around nickel tailpiece works great. 3-ply white pickguard with original silver "E" emblem. The pickguard is in great shape with some mild discoloration, but no cracks or breaks, which are typical for these. The guitar has a marvelous acoustic tone & is very resonant; extremely light weight at only 5 lbs 12.4 oz.
Pickup: Original P-90 single coil with nickel cover - 5.79K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with original knobs. Pots date to '64; all electronics are original & in perfect working condition.
Case: '70s Gibson "chainsaw" hardshell case included. The guitar fits perfectly inside the case which protects it exceptionally well.
