Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is a great sounding and all original 1964 Fender Musicmaster II. This particular Musicmaster is rather early and rare given the year and specs. The grey bottom single-coil sounds fantastic and the tone control is very usable in getting some different sounds out of it. This guitar is pretty clean overall. There are some surface scratches, small nicks, dings, dents and chips and some weather checking throughout the instrument. The fingerboard and frets are in great shape with hardly any play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is super comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid double-cutaway body in red finish. Top-load chrome bridge with three individual saddles. Chrome control plate with plastic control knobs and a 3-ply pearloid pickguard.
Neck: Very slender maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. White dot inlays and a 1.5” nut. Kluson Delux single-stripe tuners with ivoroid buttons, 24” scale length. The back of the neck has some subtle and lovely figuring that gives it a great three-dimensional look!
Pickups/Electronics: Original grey bottom single-coil pickup in the neck with master volume and tone controls. The pickup and both pots date to 1964.
