Description
What makes this guitar special: Ultra cool Mustang with a rad red sparkle refinish that was done quite some time ago. In addition to the refin, newer Strat-style pickups & knurled control knobs make the guitar more of a player's grade, but it still maintains it's vintage vibe. Professionally set up by Cream City Music with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for being 50 years old - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear. There are a couple of extra small holes in the headstock, most likely from the attempt of previous string trees. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Super comfortable, slender profile maple neck with beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard & pearloid dot inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Slightly later-period Fender F-logo tuners. 1 5/8" nut width; 24" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck date is 8 SEP 65 B.
Body: Offset, solid body professionally refinished in red sparkle - really cool! Original Dynamic Vibrato tailpiece with adjustable bridge. Original, 3-ply pearloid pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Strap buttons are unoriginal. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 7.6 oz.
Pickups: Unoriginal Strat-style single-coils with black covers. Master volume & tone controls with unoriginal knurled knobs. Switches & pots are original; all electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
