What makes this bass special: A fun little, short scale bass with a cool vintage vibe & warm, rich tone. Nice chunky neck that's easy to play & the SG style body produces a nice resonance. Pro set up from Cream City Music, so it's guaranteed to be a winner.
Cosmetic Condition: Typical wear & tear for a 50 year old bass - various nicks. chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. A small area of the wood has cracked a bit around the input jack, but nothing too serious & it's stable. Overall the bass has a great look to it with a nice patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, chunky mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany SG-style body. Top-loading bridge with chrome hardware. String mute is missing as is the pickguard. Bass weighs 6 lbs 12.1 oz.
Pickup: Neck humbucker with chrome cover. Master volume & tone controls with black 'top hat' knobs. Pots date to '65. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included. The case is a bit rough with some tears in the tolex & the handle is a replacement.
