Description

What makes this guitar special: Here’s a rare treat for all the Beatle fans out there…an absolutely stunning ’66 Casino in sunburst finish. John, George, and even Paul used these mid-60’s Casinos during countless recordings and live performances, and this one is absolutely chock full of that classic, iconic sound. Built in Kalamazoo alongside the Gibson ES-330’s of the time, this is a true player, with a comfortable neck feel and vibrant, resonant tone. It sports a gorgeous patina, with just the right amount of finish checking throughout, and only modest wear for its age. It even comes with the original case! It has been professionally inspected and setup by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play the moment it hits your doorstep.

Cosmetic condition: Terrific shape for its age, with some expected playwear throughout. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, scuffs, and small chips in the finish, as well as some chipping on the top of the headstock. The back of the body shows three or four small spots where light green fabric has adhered to the finish. There is expected finish checking throughout the guitar, some visible pitting in the fingerboard that does not hinder playability, and some modest fretwear. Overall the guitar is in terrific shape, and sports a gorgeous patina.

Body: Double bound semi-hollow maple body in sunburst finish with dual f-holes. Tune-O-Matic bridge and original Epiphone tremolo tailpiece. Original 3-ply white pickguard with “E” emblem.

Weight: 6 lb, 11.8 oz

Neck: Semi-chunky C shaped mahogany neck with black side dots and mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays. Double bound rosewood fingerboard is in great shape with some light pitting visible, but nothing that gets in the way of playing. Original frets show some wear, but still have a great deal of life left in them. 1 9/16” nut width, 24 3/4” scale length. Black headstock overlay with pearl Epiphone logo and black “E” stamped truss rod cover. Original Kluson nickel tuners function perfectly. Neck is straight and plays like a dream up and down the length of the fingerboard.

Electronics: Dual P90 single-coil pickups (Neck-8.47K ohms, Bridge-10.96K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector toggle and bronze tophat knobs, 2x tone, 2x volume.

Case: Original hard shell case included.
