Description
What makes this guitar special: Priced like a player's grade model due to the headstock repair, but despite its less than stellar appearance this Starfire XII still maintains its true vintage charm. With its signature, bell-like chime & distinctive cherry finish, this wonderful electric 12-string is ready to continue its new life with a new owner. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Outside of the headstock repair, the guitar incorporates all that we've come to love about vintage guitars - the look, the tone & the feel. Displaying various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear.
Neck: Medium-profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Mother of pearl Guild & Chesterfield headstock inlays. Open-back strip tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Semi-hollow mahogany body with dual F-holes & 3-ply binding. Guild trapeze tailpiece with compensated rosewood bridge. Black plexi "stairstep" pickguard with gold Guild logo & piping. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 14.3 oz.
Electronics: Guild humbuckers with black bezels. Bridge - 6.82K ohms; Neck - 6.74K ohms. Dual volume & tone controls with Guild knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Unoriginal hardshell case included. The case has one broken clasp, but is in otherwise good condition with only some minor wear & tear on the outside.
