Description

What makes this guitar special: A well-kept Chet Atkins Nashville model, with a ton of vintage mojo, finished in a classic Gretsch orange. This one has held up nicely over the years, and shows very little of the characteristic binding rot of the era, in addition to having considerably little playwear to speak of. The nicely variegated rosewood fingerboard is smooth and comfortable, and the neck carve is terrific as well, trending ever so slightly thicker as you move toward the neck heel. This one is in all original condition, and comes professionally setup by our expert in-house luthier, ready to play out of the case.

Cosmetic condition: Great shape for its age, with some standard playwear throughout. Various scratches, nicks, dings, dents, and scuffs, with some binding shrinkage throughout, and visible oxidation on the hardware. The pad on the mute is mostly gone, and frets show some visible wear but still have a lot of life left in them.

Body: Double bound semi-hollow maple body in orange finish with simulated f-holes. Compensated bridge with floating rosewood bridge, Bigsby tremolo tailpiece and gold Chet Atkins Nashville pickguard.

Weight: 7 lb, 9 oz

Neck: Nicely rounded maple neck with red side dots and pearl thumbnail inlays. 1 11/16” nut width with zero fret. 24.6” scale length. Bound headstock with etched Gretsch logo and “Chet Atkins Nashville Model” badge. Original open-gear tuners function as they should. Neck is straight and plays nicely up and down the length of the fingerboard.

Electronics: Dual FilterTron humbuckers (Neck-4.01K ohms, Bridge-4.05K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch, 3-way tone switch, standby switch, and G-Arrow knobs, 2x individual volume, 1x master volume.

Case: Original hard shell case included. The handle is broken on the case, but it still has much of the original case candy inside-including a Gretsch polishing cloth, branded Gretsch strap, and the original FilterTron information pamphlet.
