Description
Cosmetic Condition: A rare guitar with a super cool vintage vibe! Various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & finish wear. No cracks or breaks! There is a 2 pressed into the back of the headstock indicating this was a factory second. Exactly what deemed it such is really impossible to tell now. There is a professionally filled hole in the top of the guitar where a volume knob had once been. The guitar was previously fitted with a pickup, but has since been removed. The bridge appears to have been re-glued & is firmly secured to the top. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & black side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl split block inlays. Original frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Original gold Kluson Deluxe tuners in perfect working condition. Neck plays well & truss is working fine. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought body with multiple top & back binding. Solid spruce top finished in a beautiful tobacco sunburst. Brazilian rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle. Tortoise-style pickguard with cactus & rope motif. Multi-ring rosette. Maple back & sides with some eye-catching flame figuring & quilting.
Playability / Sound: Nice, low action - neck plays well & is very comfortable. Sweet, rich tone with nice resonance & sustain.
Case: Vintage chipboard case included.
