Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear with true vintage mojo - various nicks, dents & dings; surface scratches & weather checking. The pickguard has "gassed out" over the years & shows quite a bit of deterioration with some cracking. However, it's still holding firm with no missing pieces. There's a tiny bit of bridge lifting in the wings, but really for the most part the bridge is firmly attached to the top with no playability issues. There's a minor hairline crack in the top that runs parallel to the treble side of the neck & into the soundhole. The crack is purely cosmetic & also doesn't affect playability or sound quality. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with an exquisite patina.
Neck: Slender profile mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots. Beautiful, dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Original frets are in great shape with a tiny bit of wear & plenty of life in them. Nickel Kluson "waffle back" tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in good working condition.
Body: Square shoulder dreadnought with solid spruce top in natural finish & 7-ply binding. Rosewood bridge with mother of pearl Dove inlays & cream end pins. ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles. Tortoise pickguard with Dove motif & multi-ring rosette. Solid flame maple back & sides in cherry finish with 5-ply binding. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 5 lbs 8.9 oz.
