Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is a beautiful vintage 12-string 335 and it sounds phenomenal. This guitar is in great shape for its age and has a super comfortable feel! The binding has developed a lovely patina that looks awesome against the cherry finish. This piece came to us as part of a larger collection and all of the instruments were very well-cared for. Many of the guitars had customized or personalized appointments. This one features a custom engraved metal truss rod cover.
Condition: Great shape for being over 40 years old! Various surface scratches and some small nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the guitar. There are a few small finish cracks on the back and some light buckle rash toward the edge on the back. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck has just a hint of relief on the bass side but is very straight overall with very comfortable action. The truss rod functions perfectly. Tuners, truss rod cover and strap buttons are unoriginal and the original screw holes from the tuners are visible. Otherwise, all electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Double-bound body with maple top, back and sides in cherry red finish. Trapeze tailpiece, Tune-O-Matic bridge, skirted control knobs with silver inserts, dual F-holes and a 5-ply black pickguard.
Neck: Slender mahogany neck with a bound Rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid block inlays and a 1 9/16” nut. Sealed Schaller tuners, 24 ¾” scale length. "PGN" is indented into the back of the headstock.
Pickups/Electronics: Original Gibson Pat. No humbuckers in the neck and bridge with dual volume and tone controls and a 3-way selector switch.
Neck: 7.67K Ohms.
Bridge: 7.72K Ohms.
Weight: 8lbs, 9.0oz.
Case: Includes the original hardshell case. The case has a customized plaque on the side and a couple of Harley Davidson logos on either side of the Gibson plaque.
