Description
What makes this guitar special: Super rare, short scale electric finished in Candy Apple Red. All original & professionally set up by Cream City Music, so it plays great!
Cosmetic Condition: The body finish chemically reacted to a coiled guitar cable quite some time ago & left behind some awful "burns" in the finish. There are various other nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, light weather checking & some finish wear throughout the guitar. The cavity for the control knobs appears to have been routed a bit along the sides, but was very tastefully done - probably just needed to be widened slightly. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Slender maple neck with nicely figured Brazilian rosewood fingerboard & pearloid dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear & plenty of life in them. "Arrow" headstock with single string tree. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 1/2" nut width; 22 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine. Neck date is 9 SEP 66 A.
Body: Contoured, solid body finished in Candy Apple Red. Top-loading bridge with three adjustable saddles. 3-ply pearloid pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 6.5 oz.
Pickup: Single-coil neck pickup with black cover - 5.48K ohms. Master volume & tone controls - both pots date to '66. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Unoriginal Reunion Blues deluxe semi-hard gig bag included.
